Outback Steakhouse Recipes - Great Taste At Home

You can hardly be blamed for wanting to eat all your meals at Outback given the delectable and tempting dishes that are always on offer.

Unfortunately, that isn’t always possible nor is it practical, but the next best thing may be to get your hands on Outback Steakhouse recipes so you can prepare the same dishes at home.

Now keep in mind that just like all restaurant chains, the company doesn’t make Outback Steakhouse recipes available to the general public. They have their secrets to protect after all, and these recipes are a large part of what makes the restaurant chain so successful. There is a way to at least approximate Outback Steakhouse recipes however, and while you may not get the taste exactly the same, these recipes will at least hold off your cravings until the next time you dine out at the restaurant.

There is actually a wealth of Outback Steakhouse recipes on the Internet, many of which come pretty close to the original recipes. In the course of our research we found variations of popular Outback Steakhouse recipes for soups, chicken wings, bread, Dipping Sauce, Salad, and lot more. While these Outback Steakhouse recipes may not fool a diehard Outback connoisseur, they at least provide a close enough approximation so that you can get a hint of the same great taste at home.

Let’s start off with a classic favorite: the Alice Springs Chicken. This is one of the most popular Outback Steakhouse recipes around, and it is simple enough to try at home. Here’s what you need.

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
honey mustard
6 slices of bacon
1/2 teaspoon powdered seasoning
1 cup sliced mushrooms
3 cups shredded cheese of your choice (Colby or Monterey Jack is preferable)

First rub the chicken breasts with powdered seasoning, and marinate for 1 hour. Meanwhile, fry up the bacon until it is crisp and set it on some paper towels to drain off the oil. After one hour, sauté the chicken breasts on medium heat, adding just enough oil to prevent the spices from sticking. Fry the breasts until they are light golden brown and cooked through. Place the breasts in a rectangular dish and cover it with a layer of mustard, mushrooms, and bacon. Sprinkle your cheese over the top. Place the dish into the oven at 350º for about 15 minutes. Take it out of the oven and garnish with parsley and a bit if honey on the side, and you are done!

Now for the steak. These Outback Steakhouse recipes will definitely make you a star in your own home, especially to those who can’t get enough of Outback steak. Here’s what you need:

4 sirloin, rib eye or filet steaks
seasoning
8 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon coriander
1/2 teaspoon turmeric

Blend all the ingredients together and rub the mix onto each steak. Grill the steaks on a large frying pan at fairly high heat and press down on each piece to sear the edges. That’s all there is to it and you can now enjoy the same great Outback flavor at home…even without the official Outback Steakhouse recipes!
